The 2019 Day of the Child (Dia del Niño) Outreach weekend in Nuevo Laredo is scheduled for Thursday April 25th—Sunday April 28th. We would LOVE for you, your team, your family, your church…whoever the Lord leads…to join us for this special time of ministry. The focus, of course, is sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with the children and their families, but we plan to surround the Word with lots of fun and love through activities including: bounce houses, face & nail painting, balloon animals, piñatas, carnival-style games, gift bags, music and bean tacos (they LOVE them!) and more! We’d love to have things like health screening and haircuts available, too. If you would like to join us, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can be sure to keep you in the loop.
Teams will stay at the Holiday Inn Express Nuevo Laredo. You can make reservations through hotels.com and other like sites. You might also check the hotel website in case their price happens to be cheaper. We encourage you to make reservations soon and to let us know when you do so. The hotel is offering a discount to us in the following link, but you must use 4/25 as your starting date (the ending date can vary) and you must choose ‘2’ as the number of persons in the room. As of the present exchange rate, the cost is approximately $57 per night. Be sure to check hotels.com or others though…I just looked on hotels.com and they have a rate of approximately $51 today (3/23) with an advertised savings code of 8% on top of that…which means approx. $47 a night for double occupancy.

We know that team numbers always fluctuate, but please keep us updated so we can make plans on this end as we plan for the events. The sooner the better! If you are going to be part of a team, the team leader will be updating us.
Teams are encouraged to arrive Thursday afternoon/evening as we plan to meet for orientation at 8 pm to set plans for Friday’s orphanage ministry and Saturday’s outreaches. If you arrive early you can eat dinner in Laredo or here in Nuevo Laredo (The new-ish Arandas is right around the corner!)
Plans for Friday include finalizing preparation for the orphanage visit, finishing packing outreach gift bags and the afternoon orphanage outreach. Saturday will be outreach day and Sunday will be departure day for traveling teams. We will plan to have a small service that morning for those able to stay.
