*For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. *Heb 4:12
Hi Regalos friends,
We thought you’d like to hear and see a little bit of the blessings of the Day of the Child weekend ministry, April 27 – 28, here in Nuevo Laredo.
The team, composed of friends from Garland, Waco, San Antonio, San Angelo and our neighborhood (Valles), shared mini-outreaches with two orphanages, ‘Juanita’s’ and Semillas de Amor. We ladies also enjoyed a sweet ‘girls only’ time at the latter. (Click on photos to enlarge)

(We are sorry there are no photos to post from Semillas, but the government is now enforcing their ‘no photography’ policy at the city run orphanages…you’ll just have to trust that it really was a blessed time.) J
Saturday’s outreach brought GREAT weather, a large crowd and lots of fun! The children and their families learned about God’s love and the hope found in trusting Jesus at virtually every game and activity…face and nail painting, balloon animals, carnival games, fuzzy sticks art, memory verse challenge, and Gospel bracelets. And the Lord ministered powerfully through both the prayer ministry and the Gospel message as a number of people, particularly the adults, made choices to commit their lives to Christ. What a blessing to see these moms and dads recognizing their need for a Savior…and to know their lives and the lives of their children will be changed as they learn to follow Christ!! The outreach wrapped up with the traditional piñata bashing and a gift bag, Jesus coloring book and bean taco for each child…with plenty of excitement and smiles.

We are so grateful to the team the Lord put together and for their joyful service. Thanks also goes to our Waco friends for providing 200 beautiful gift bags for Saturday’s outreach and the Valles moms and daughters team who assembled another 250. Special kudos to the 6 ladies from both sides of the border who woke at 4:30 am Saturday to make the 400 bean tacos. We’re pretty certain there’s a special place in Heaven for y’all!!! J And, lastly, thank you ALL for your commitment to pray for the weekend. We know that the prayers of the saints were ‘powerful and effective’ as we witnessed the Lord’s hand at work over and over. It was truly a very special weekend in our eyes.
